The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Lettings Negotiator to join our client’s busy and successful lettings department based in the Yarm area. You will be working as part of a supportive and fast-paced team, managing a portfolio of residential properties and playing a key role in the day-to-day running of the branch.
Your responsibilities will include marketing available properties, conducting viewings, managing applicant enquiries, and ensuring all tenants are fully referenced and successfully moved into their new homes. You will also be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with both existing and new landlords, helping to maximise portfolio performance in the local area.
Key Responsibilities
- Market and advertise available rental properties effectively across relevant platforms
- Arrange and conduct property viewings
- Gather and provide constructive feedback following viewings
- Carry out tenant referencing and application processing
- Negotiate tenancy terms and agree lets
- Coordinate move-ins and ensure all tenancy documentation is completed accurately
- Manage and maintain a portfolio of properties within the local area
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords and tenants
- Work closely with the wider sales and lettings team to support branch performance
About You
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in lettings is essential
- Strong understanding of the lettings process and current legislation
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Highly organised with the ability to manage workload under pressure
- Professional, polite, punctual, and customer-focused approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Motivated, proactive, and target-driven
