The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Property Manager to join a highly respected, long-established multi branch independent estate and letting agency based in the West Midlands.
This is a key leadership role within a well-structured and professional business, offering the chance to take ownership of your own managed portfolio while also leading and supporting a team of Property Managers.
The role would suit a confident, commercially minded property professional who enjoys combining hands-on portfolio management with people leadership, compliance oversight and service excellence.
The Role
You will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running and performance of the property management department, ensuring high standards are maintained across the portfolio while supporting and developing your team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing your own residential property portfolio
- Leading, mentoring and supporting a team of Property Managers
- Overseeing compliance, legislation and best practice across the department
- Acting as a senior point of contact for landlords, tenants and contractors
- Managing maintenance, repairs and contractor relationships
- Handling complex tenancy matters, escalations and problem-solving
- Ensuring rent collection, arrears management and reporting are maintained
- Supporting departmental processes, efficiency and service standards
- Working closely with senior management to drive continuous improvement
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Property Manager or experienced Property Manager ready to step up
- Strong knowledge of residential lettings legislation and compliance
- Experience managing your own portfolio end-to-end
- Confident leading, supporting and motivating a small team
- Calm, professional and solutions-focused approach
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Passion for delivering high standards of customer service
- ARLA qualification desirable but not essential
