Sales Manager – Estate Agency
Sutton Coldfield / North BirminghamExcellent basic salary + commission + career progression
I’m currently recruiting for an excellent Sales Manager opportunity with a highly successful and established estate agency business.
This is a role I think will particularly appeal to an experienced Senior Sales Negotiator who is ready to take that next step into management.
Importantly, this isn’t a traditional Sales Manager position heavily focused on going out and winning instructions.
The role is predominantly office based, managing and motivating a team of three Sales Negotiators and ensuring that every possible opportunity coming into the branch is identified, followed up and maximised.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for driving the day-to-day sales performance of the office and working closely with the team to maximise opportunities across:
- Viewings and viewing conversion
- Market appraisal and instruction opportunities
- Mortgage appointments
- Conveyancing referrals
- Auction opportunities
- Applicant management and matching
- Vendor contact and price reductions
- Offer generation and negotiation
- Sales progression and pipeline management
- Cross-selling additional services
- Ensuring every lead and opportunity is properly followed up
I’m looking for somebody who can really drive the office from the front.
Someone who understands estate agency inside out, can spot an opportunity, knows when a negotiator could be getting more from a conversation and enjoys coaching and motivating people to perform at their best.
Who I’m Looking For
For me, the ideal candidate could be a really experienced Senior Negotiator who has consistently performed well and now feels ready for more responsibility.
You’ll ideally have:
- Several years’ residential estate agency experience
- A strong track record as a Senior Sales Negotiator or Assistant Manager
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- A thorough understanding of the estate agency process
- A commercial mindset and the ability to spot opportunities
- The confidence to coach, motivate and develop a team
- A strong understanding of referrals and additional income streams
- The drive and personality to create a high-performing office environment
Previous management experience would be advantageous, but I’m equally interested in speaking to strong Senior Negotiators who have the experience, personality and ambition to make the step up.
