Duties will vary and you will be expected to lend a hand through out the business when needed.

Commercial Negotiator

To sell and acquire convenience, petrol forecourt and post office businesses on behalf of both private and corporate clients throughout the south Wales area. 

Duties and responsibilities:

-To take responsibility for the business within your allocated patch and sector;
-To secure client instructions to sell Retail businesses;
-To visit and talk to clients about their businesses and its special features, promoting the firm and your profile
-To appraise Retail businesses with a view to securing vendor instructions ;
-To sell the firms services to clients;
-To market and promote businesses for sale;
-To send out details of new businesses in the market to database contacts;
-To advise clients about the buying and selling process;
-To arrange and carry out the viewings of properties, where applicable ;
-To represent the sellers in negotiations with prospective buyers;
-To monitor the sales as they proceed and liaise with all interested parties including mortgage brokers, solicitors, surveyors and other agents;
-To advise clients and help buyers to decide what they want to buy;
-To make sure that a price is agreed that is acceptable to both the buyer and the seller;
-To keep up to date with trends in the local commercial property market;
-To respond to queries via email and telephone;
-To maintain administrative records.

You will work within a small group of Business Agents, which forms part of a national team of specialist Agents and Valuers. You will report to a Regional Director, whilst retaining a good degree of autonomy. There will be plenty of support from a wide variety of experienced Business Agents who are leaders in their specialist fields. Their brand, company reputation and market knowledge will help you to open doors and become a trusted advisor for clients to rely upon with confidence. You will also work closely with the Group colleagues to cross-sell and gain business.

General responsibilities:

-To be a good ambassador for the company;

Person Specification:

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience within an Estate Agency business;

Exceptional negotiation and communication skills;

Very strong IT skills with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office;

Knowledge of relevant legislation;

Knowledge of the Property sector and Property trends;

Relevant Real Estate degree;

Experience of working with Salesforce.

Duties to include:

As a Sales Director you will be in charge of all areas of Sales and Lettings, from generating business, winning business, viewings, negotiating offers, administration, sales progression and much more.

Above all else, you MUST be gritty, willing to keep going even when the market is though and passionate about valuing and networking alike.

Please note that duties will vary hugely, so you must be ready and willing to lend a hand wherever is needed.

The hours for this role will be 8:45am – 5:30pm Monday to Friday.

You will be working every other Saturday and will receive time in lieu for working a Saturday.

Although these will be your contracted hours, you will have pretty much free rein on working when you need to work! The firm are very relaxed and aim to create a welcoming and proactive atmosphere for the successful candidate.

You will not be restricted to areas, although based from the Pontypridd office they are eager to break in to the surrounding markets including Cardiff.


Our client will reward for hard work! They can offer the successful candidate a basic salary of £20,000-£24,000.

They can offer 30% of all revenue generated on properties valued and sold under £250,000 and 40% of all revenue generated on properties valued and sold over £250,000.
