This professional client is an expanding retirement village developer and operator, based just south of Cambridge, focusing on acquiring, developing and operating high quality bespoke retirement communities.
In view of the planned expansion, the company now requires a Sales and Marketing Manager to manage and support the team, dealing with all aspects of the sales and marketing process.
The successful applicant will report to the Sales and Marketing Director.
Duties will include:
Assign and manage the team of sales negotiators; contribute to the development of the marketing and sales strategies; research potential client requirements and network; contribute to the development of high-quality sales and marketing media; manage the database of all existing and potential customers and other interested parties; analyse trends, data, demographics and client preferences in order to identify opportunities to improve marketing and sales performance; identify interesting stories and PR opportunities to showcase the brand's villages and the services provided
Having a retirement housing, estate agency or new home sales background, or other sales and marketing experience and knowledge, is essential as is a driving license. Also required are proven experience of managing and motivating a team, the ability to work flexible hours and Periodically visit the retirement villages (currently in Chester, Ripon and Worcester), including some weekend work. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, and be computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel), together with good organisational and communication skills, both verbally and in written form. Knowledge of customer relationship management systems (e.g. ACT) and GDPR would be beneficial but not essential.
This client is very much team-orientated, so the role will go to someone who is personable and works well with others, and has a desire to grow and develop within the role. They must also be capable of dealing with people from different walks of life and a have calm demeanour.
