Our Client is looking for an experienced property manager to join their team!
Property Managers are in charge of their own property portfolio. This means you would be responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the tenant, property and landlord relationship is managed effectively.
You would also be a 'brand guardian', responsible for retaining our customers, promoting the clients brand and the services that they offer to them.
A large part of your day will be helping customers with enquiries, either over the phone or by email; your biggest challenge will be to build strong and personable relationships - most of the time without face to face communication. A confident and friendly phone manner will be essential to achieve the best possible performance.
You will spend some time out and about in your local area. Generally one or two days per week will be devoted to visiting your customers and property portfolio; during this time, you will assess property condition, complete end of tenancy 'check out' inspections and property inventories. You will also meet up with third party contractors, to monitor and manage their work and performance.
The role reports to the Director of Property Care and you will be supported on a daily basis by your Senior Property Manager. If they are out on a well-earned holiday, you will have the opportunity to step into their shoes and complete some of the day-to-day duties of the role; a great opportunity to further hone your management skills!
There are also plenty of opportunities to be involved in the development of the business. Our Property Managers spend time both as a team and independently, working on projects and on training guides. Your view and input will be in demand, which is a great chance for you to shine and directly impacts the future direction of the department and of the company as a whole.
