My client is one of the most well known and recognisable companies in the UK. They are renowned as a market leader and one of the most forward thinking and diverse companies in the UK. They have multiple arms to their operation, including a large property division.
As such they are looking to recruit a Property Procurement Officer. The role will be home based with extensive travel across The Midlands and The North.
Â§Liaise with local authority representatives on property procurement consultation.
Â§Build strong links with local agencies and stakeholders to include but not limited to local authority Housing Standards/ Environmental Health teams, UKBA compliance inspectors, Voluntary and Community Sector groups, Health services etc.
Â§Agree commercial terms with property providers within the limitations of the rent matrix and line manager approval.
Â§Work closely with the central Estates and Legal team to ensure quick turnaround of leases.
Â§Attend multi-disciplinary meetings with stakeholders and partners.
Â§Build on existing relationships with providers and create new opportunities for property procurement.
Â§Work in coordination with the Property Mobilisation Team to ensure seamless management of new properties.
Â§Conduct property inspections to include; Interim Inspections, Final Inspections etc.
Â§Support the property mobilisation team to ensure all new property procurement meets the standard certification requirements to include but not limited to Gas Safety, Electrical Safety, HMO Licensing, Selective Licensing, Fire Alarm Test Certificate, Emergency Lighting Test Certificate, PAT, etc.
Key Competencies / Skills:
Â§Supporting and Working with Others
Knowledge of local authority housing standards.
Experience of property Inspections / Surveys.
Ability to use Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook Email & Calendar
Good communication skills â both written and verbal
