Our client, an independent estate & lettings agent in beautiful Falmouth, are looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to join their established and friendly team.
 
The role is for someone with either estate agency / building or property repairs / project management experience, e.g. someone who has renovated / built / extended their own home who will have practical knowledge and be a problem solver.
 
The ideal candidate must be driven, organised, efficient, have an eagle eye attention to detail, assertive, be able to work on their own, manage their own diary and workload, enjoy variety and a challenge, multi task, have good common sense and able to make decisions, be practical and hands on.
 
Job Role
Deal with maintenance queries and requests from tenants
Get quotes from tradespeople
Book in tradespeople for jobs
Liaise between tenants, landlords and tradespeople
Process invoices
Answer phones
Visit properties to inspect maintenance queries and photograph completed jobs
Will work on property software, will need to be proficient in word and excel, especially spreadsheets
Keep property health and safety certificates up to date
Will need to read through and check all reports for remedial works and decipher information coherently
Responsible for ensuring that properties are fit for health and habitation
Keep files up to date
 
Mon-Fri 8:50am-5:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break.
28 days holiday including bank holidays, closed for xmas from 24th Dec - 4th Jan. This is part of the holiday allowance.
In return our client is offering a salary of around £21,000, negotiable on experience.
 
Ideally a full-time candidate but our client would also be open to flexible working for the right candidate e.g. a parent who wants to come back to employment but needs to finish at 3pm and start maybe at 8am for example. (salary would then be pro rata)
