Our client, a leading provider of services to the Private Rented and Build to Rent sector, is looking for a Credit Controller to join their busy team based in Exeter with on target earnings up to £23,000. This role could be home working after initial 6 month training period.
You will be responsible for the department’s debt management function and ensuring our rent collection is as close to 100% as possible; negotiating payment plans where appropriate and recommending and overseeing legal action on serious cases. You will oversee the whole process, working closely with Property Managers, Clients and Solicitors.
Duties will include:
·Handling client & tenant rental accounts
·Telephone call handling
·Issuing rental arrears letters and Section 8 and Section 21 notices as required
·Adherence to regulations and procedures: Handling client monies, Tenant queries, Payment plans, Client bank details, Litigation
·Internal & External reporting
·Ensure accurate paperwork is produced
·Support to team members
·Aged balances, arrears clear down
·Handling Confidential information
Skills & Experience Required:
·IT (incl. Excel & Word)
·Customer Service Skills
·Min. 1 years’ experience in a similar role
·Strong telephone skills
·Good customer service
·Confidence in analysing spreadsheets and other reports and well as creating and producing reports to a wide range of audiences
Skills desired but not necessary as full training will be provided:
·Housing Act / Lettings knowledge
In return our client is offering an OTE up to £23,000 p/a depending on experience (base + commission structure). Could be office based or home based after initial 6 months training in Exeter office. Monday to Friday 9-5.30pm.
