Super opportunity in Exeter city centre to join an established property company as a home and office based Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent way to join the world of finance in an entry level role with an established property company in Exeter who offer excellent benefits, training and career progression with a salary in the region of £18-20,000 pa.
Duties will include:
·Exchange Invoices - Running daily exchange report, saving invoices via macro facility, editing invoices – providing for costs committed not yet invoiced, sending invoices to Team Leaders for authorisation, producing invoices in PDF format, Posting Invoice with macro, attaching invoice to relevant case in Jigsaw (front-end system), Sending the invoice to the client within agreed timescales.
·Cancellation Invoices - Running Weekly Cancellation report invoicing accordingly, Attaching invoice to relevant case in Jigsaw.
·Tracking - Assist in processing invoices to the client trackers.
·Third Party Invoices -Saving supplier invoices from emails, attaching supplier invoices to the relevant case in Jigsaw, editing expenditure amounts in Jigsaw, seeking authorisation, coding and sending supplier invoices to purchase ledger.
·Purchase Ledger Processing - Ensure third party invoices received are correctly coded and authorised according to the mandate, Process third party invoices to SUN systems, Prepare and check weekly supplier payment run and send to the FD for approval, answering internal and external queries on invoices paid, Checking & processing staff expenses, Processing Barclaycard Statements
·Banking - Checking of all cheque payment received in Exeter against the original invoices, querying with client where necessary, copy cheques and file with invoice, summarise daily banking and coding details and send to processing centre in York, prepare paying in slip.
·General - Answering the phone, dealing with general internal and external queries, Other ad hoc accounts duties as required.
Skills and Competencies Required:
·Excellent communication skills
·Self-organisation and prioritisation
·IT Literate with a good working knowledge of Excel
·Problem solving
·Attention to detail.
·Minimum of English and Maths at GCSE
·Experience of working in a busy office environment.
In return our client is offering a salary of in the region of £18,000 - £20,000. Hours Monday to Friday 9-5.30pm and a mixture of home and office based working.
