A rare opportunity has arisen within a well respected independent agent in Downend, Bristol. Our client is seeking a Lettings Accountant to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
Candidates MUST come from a Lettings Accounts background and have experience working in challenging and busy environments.
Duties to include:
·Checking bank statement and sending out emails to confirm monies in
·Raising rent demands for the week every Monday
·Raising fixed fees for the week every Monday
·Importing monies coming into the bank onto the Veco system
·Matching and allocating rents that you have imported
·Matching and allocating all settlement monies, part settlement monies, paying in slips, holding deposits or any other monies that come into the bank
·Reconciling the client bank daily without fail and must balance before proceeding with any payments
·Processing refunds, credit notes for fees or from suppliers to Owners/tenants
·Processing % fees once all rent has been allocated
·Processing Owner and Tenant invoice payments
·Processing supplier payments via BACS and Cheque
·Emailing out remittances to Suppliers
·Processing any deposits that need passing to an Owner prior to processing the payment run only if the tenancy is active/live
·Processing Owner payments and tenant deposit returns Tues & Thursday
·Processing Owner statements
·Processing transfer of fees from client to current account
·Reconciling the deposit bank weekly and processing the deposit transfer from client to deposit or deposit to client depending on the balance
·Answering any accounting/statement queries the lettings teams/suppliers and Owners may have regarding their accounts
·Answering any queries the property management team may have on a rental account
·Processing end of month on the date it is due to be done without fail
·Processing any overseas payments
·Processing refunds of overpaid rents
·Raising invoices, payments, rent demands or any other accounting transaction that maybe required
·Saving payments/remittances/transfers to folders for end of year audit
·Dealing with End of Year accounting/ledger queries and path of monies for the auditors
·Lettings Accounts Experience is essential
·Local knowledge is desirable but not essential
·ability to work well under pressure and prioritize well
·Positive and professional telephone manner
·Organised and diligent
·Keen eye for detail
·Polite and calm under pressure
·Hardworking and able to multi task
·Nicely presented and willing to go the extra mile
