Associate/Associate Partner – Rural Estate Management
Job Summary
As part of the expansion of our clients Professional consultancy department they are looking to appoint an Associate or an Associate Partner in the Rural Land Management department in Haywards Heath.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage an existing, diverse portfolio of work with a wide client base. This will include rural & agricultural consultancy, landlord and tenant matters, environmental stewardship and natural capital, valuations and compulsory purchase.
As well as working on existing instructions, you will have an opportunity to identify, secure and deliver new business opportunities and develop new work streams as part of a supportive team network. They place a high emphasis on marketing, networking and winning new business. Training, mentoring and support in growing your skills within the role will be readily provided.

Salary and package
·Permanent position.
·Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm.
·25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
·Associate role £40k-£48k per annum depending on experience.
·Associate Partner £48k-£60k per annum depending on experience.
·Car Allowance.

Qualifications and skills
·MRICS qualified with experience in the rural sector. FAAV would be an advantage.
·RICS Registered Valuer.
·Able to provide recommendations to clients based on technical knowledge and experience.
·A keen networker.
·Confident, resourceful and capable of building and maintaining good relationships with colleagues and clients.
·An affinity with and knowledge of farming and the agricultural community is essential.
Responsibilities and duties
·Carry out property inspections and prepare RICS compliant valuation and charities act reports.
·Engage with landowners to identify and advise on Rural and environmental Grant schemes.
·Directly work with clients to enhance and maximise their property income.
·Advice on ELMS & Natural Capital.
·Business strategy reports.
·Day to day work on Rural estates.
·Advising on farming and land management.
·Agricultural Landlord and Tenant work.
·Negotiating compulsory purchase claims and compensation.
·Renewable energy projects.
·Marketing, networking and winning new business.
·Leading other members of the team.
·General knowledge and advice relating to the countryside and rural matters.
Other requirements
·Must have the permanent right to work in the U.K.
·Clean full driving licence.
·Use of a car.
