Do you want to work for a forward-thinking, innovative letting agency in beautiful offices in the heart of Exeter? Our client, a fast-growing independent estate and lettings agent, are looking for a Full-Time Trainee or Experienced Lettings Negotiator to join their busy Exeter office. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly reputable local business during a period of expansion.
The Role
As a Lettings Negotiator, you will support the Manager and Property Manager, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our lettings portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and responding to enquiries
- Registering and vetting applicants
- Carrying out viewings and delivering excellent customer service
- Negotiating tenancies between landlords and tenants
- Preparing tenancy paperwork and ensuring compliance (certificates, references, utilities)
- Booking property inspections and appraisals
- Drafting renewal paperwork and Section notices
- Logging maintenance requests when the Property Manager is unavailable
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords
- Supporting the Manager in identifying opportunities to grow portfolio income
- Staying up to date with lettings legislation and best practice
About You
- We’re looking for someone with drive, personality, and a strong customer focus.
- Experience within the lettings industry desirable, not essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organisation and multitasking ability
- Confident, proactive, and detail-focused
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence required
