Our client, a large independent estate & lettings agent, are seeking an experienced Lettings Portfolio Manager in the St Austell area and with a salary of £30-35,000 depending on experience, to oversee the rental operations within their property portfolio. You will be responsible for managing landlord relationships, leading the lettings team, and ensuring smooth and compliant tenancy processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency, while contributing to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end lettings process, including:
- Conducting market appraisals
- Advertising properties
- Overseeing and carrying out check-outs where required
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Landlords, providing professional advice and guidance throughout the rental process
- Line-manage a team of two – one Lettings Negotiator and one Property Manager
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews with team members
- Oversee day-to-day lettings operations to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Prepare and deliver weekly KPI reports
- Support the wider business in maintaining high standards of customer service and operational performance
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience within the lettings or property management sector
- Demonstrated experience managing and leading a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment
- Knowledge of residential lettings legislation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- ARLA qualified is desirable or a willingness to undertake a professional qualification
