Essential Skills for the Trainee Property Manager role includes:

-Property management experience or experience of dealing with general public in a face to face customer service role;

Property Assistant

Established and highly reputable letting agency in the Falmouth / Penryn area require a reliable, organised and professional person to carry out their rental property quarterly visits on a part time basis, for approximately 30 hours per week on a six month contract.

This is a really exciting opportunity for someone seeking a part time role and with some property experience, either in lettings, property management, estate agency or perhaps someone who has formally worked in building or construction / new homes etc and has a great understanding of properties.

The role will be to carry out the quarterly inspections on the rental properties in the company portfolio. You will visit the property and check for any outstanding maintenance and tenant issues. You will then report back to the office and compile reports for the portfolio manager.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised as often carrying out lots of inspections on the same day, professional and well presented and have a great knowledge of properties in general. You will be computer literate as reporting done via ipads and have your own car.

The role will be for an initial period of 6 months but its possible that this could lead to another role in the company or an extension. They are looking for around 30 hours per week (days by negotiation) and remuneration in the region of £10ph.

Our Client is looking for an experienced property manager to join their team!

Property Managers are in charge of their own property portfolio. This means you would be responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the tenant, property and landlord relationship is managed effectively.

You would also be a 'brand guardian', responsible for retaining our customers, promoting the clients brand and the services that they offer to them.

A large part of your day will be helping customers with enquiries, either over the phone or by email; your biggest challenge will be to build strong and personable relationships - most of the time without face to face communication. A confident and friendly phone manner will be essential to achieve the best possible performance.

You will spend some time out and about in your local area. Generally one or two days per week will be devoted to visiting your customers and property portfolio; during this time, you will assess property condition, complete end of tenancy 'check out' inspections and property inventories. You will also meet up with third party contractors, to monitor and manage their work and performance.

The role reports to the Director of Property Care and you will be supported on a daily basis by your Senior Property Manager. If they are out on a well-earned holiday, you will have the opportunity to step into their shoes and complete some of the day-to-day duties of the role; a great opportunity to further hone your management skills!

There are also plenty of opportunities to be involved in the development of the business. Our Property Managers spend time both as a team and independently, working on projects and on training guides. Your view and input will be in demand, which is a great chance for you to shine and directly impacts the future direction of the department and of the company as a whole.


The Nuts and Bolts:

In most cases, you will work Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 5:30pm, but as with any senior role, from time to time extra hours will be required to deliver the very best performance and service to our customers.
The role is based in Central Witney most of the time. The properties you look after will be within an hour's drive from the office, so on your 'field days' you will be required to travel - and for that reason, a driving license and car are essential.
You will be representing our brand. As such, smart, business dress is required at all times.

Working with the Director in ensuring the success of the business through the translation of business strategies in to clearly defined plans. This is a rare and varied role and will suit a professional and highly experienced property person with several years worth of Lettings experience.

Duties to include but not limited to:

-Carrying out regular coaching, feedback and one to one sessions with staff to support skills development.
