My client are one of the U.K.'s largest Mortgage Brokers. They offer a flexible approach and are the preferred business partner for many mortgage brokers and financial advisors across the UK.
They have been established for several years and pride themselves on being ahead of the curve and looking at innovation and technology to ensure they stay ahead of the competition.
Due to a recent internal promotion they are looking to recruit an experienced financial services individual to work as a BDM covering the North of England.
The Business Development Manager will have responsibility for the retention, recruitment and development of Partners & Advisors within the BDM account list.
ØTo segment the team and agree appropriate plans based on their size, business ambition and support requirements. Plans to include:
1.Growth in mortgage numbers through management of lead sources including introducers, referrals and existing clients.
2.Growth of associated protection products, inspiring advisors to achieve agreed best KPI rates.
3.Lead generation to other business areas including Wealth Management, Conveyancing and Commercial business
4.Reduction in NPW, CFO and lapse rates through development of advisor sales skills and effective sales process
5.Minimum advisor banking of £40,000 per annum.
ØWhere appropriate based on business planning carry out regular 1:1s with advisors at required frequency.
1.Monitor advisor performance against objectives and Group KPI’s and KRI’s agreeing appropriate development actions where necessary.
2.Ensure agreed actions are implemented and appropriate development plans are in place where needed.
3.Carry out coaching and sales observations / role plays where appropriate
4.Follow up contact with advisors at agreed intervals to ensure actions are on track to deliver performance improvement.
5.Ensure meeting planner is maintained to show frequency of contact.
ØAgree and implement a recruitment plan to deliver quality Appointed Representatives, Advisors and Introducers.
1.Ensuring all new recruits complete the adviser applications in a timely manner
2.Attend Advisor Induction Courses
3.Identify suitable Appointed Representatives for recruitment approach from market research AR and business contacts

This is a fantastic and rare opportunity with a market leading firm. The role will be home based and covering the North of England, including Scotland. You must therefore be a positive self starter who enjoys working on their own and is happy travelling and staying away from home a few nights a week.
You must have extensive financial services experience and be a great mentor and coach who enjoys getting the best out of people.
